Meet Andy Patrick
Patrick has become South Carolina’s leading voice for families and children in the South Carolina State House. As Chairman of the K-12 Education Subcommittee, Patrick has worked tirelessly to improve educational opportunity for each student, educational choice for all families, and accountability in every classroom. Patrick believes that by empowering families and rewarding the best and brightest who educate, South Carolina can be a national leader in educating the leaders of the 21st Century.
Patrick serves as a member of the House Education Committee, and the Education Oversight Committee. Prior to his service in the State House, Patrick was an active duty member of the United States Air Force and then the Air National Guard, later becoming a Secret Service agent where he supervised and directed the planning and implementation of security arrangements for the president, vice president, and foreign heads of state.
“If we are to truly compete with our neighbors, not just North Carolina or Georgia, but internationally, South Carolina must lead the way in transforming education to meet the needs of this century. ” – Andy Patrick
