In 2004, Andy moved his family from Virginia to Hilton Head for one simple reason: “Quality of Life.” While still assigned to the Vice Presidential Protective Division of the United States Secret Service, Andy continued his commute to Washington, D.C. and, in 2006, joined wife Amee and their three children: Joel, Hannah and Emma. Having lived in various parts of the country and having traveled around the world, deciding to relocate to Hilton Head was easy.
A native of Perry, NY, Andy joined the U.S. Air Force following graduation from high school and served on active duty from 1987 to 1992. He served in the New York Air National Guard from 1992-1995. Andy graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York College at Brockport.
In 1996, Andy became a trooper with the New York State Police, and was commissioned as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service in 1997.
During the course of his Secret Service career, he supervised and directed the planning and implementation of security arrangements for the President, Vice President and foreign heads of state, as well as National Special Security Events. Andy has participated in numerous public and private partnerships involving critical infrastructure protection and emergency preparedness.
Andy spent a great deal of his Secret Service career in a liaison role with the U.S. Intelligence Community, supervising and directing the receipt and review of law enforcement and national security intelligence information, and assessing its impact on Secret Service protective responsibilities.
Andy has extensive experience conducting and supervising criminal investigations into the counterfeiting of U.S. currency and commercial obligations, financial institution fraud, identity theft and computer fraud.
In 2007 Andy resigned from the Secret Service for the same reason he moved his family to Hilton Head in the first place: “Quality of Life.” Andy currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for Advance Point Global, Inc. an international security, risk management and investigative firm. APGI manages and directs international security, investigative and crisis management consulting for companies and government entities conducting worldwide business.
Andy directs a staff of seasoned and trained security and investigative consultants with worldwide capability and on-the-ground coverage to include the Americas, Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East.
Andy is an active member of the following organizations: American Society of Industrial Security, Association of Former Agents – United States Secret Service, South Carolina Association of Legal Investigators, Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and The Greater Island Council.
